About the Daycare

About Tiny Hoppers Calgary

Tiny Hoppers Calgary is a licensed childcare centre in the East Fairview neighbourhood of SE Calgary. We're part of the Tiny Hoppers franchise — Canada's award-winning early learning network operating since 2005. Our address is 7260 12 St SE #190, Calgary, AB T2H 2S5.
Yes. Tiny Hoppers Calgary is fully licensed by the Government of Alberta under the Child Care Licensing Act. Our facility, staff qualifications, and programs are subject to regular provincial inspections and compliance reviews.
We're open Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 6:00pm. We are closed on all Alberta statutory holidays. Families are notified of holiday closures in advance.
The East Fairview Calgary location is newly opened. We joined the Tiny Hoppers network, which has been operating across Canada since 2005. While this location is new to the neighbourhood, our team brings experience and follows the established Tiny Hoppers curriculum.
Yes, free parking is available at our facility. Drop-off and pickup are straightforward with easy parking lot access directly outside our unit at 7260 12 St SE #190.
Programs & Age Groups

Programs & Age Groups

We offer four programs, each designed for a specific developmental stage:

Tiny Squirts — Infant Care, ages 12–18 months
Tiny Tots — Toddler Care, ages 19 months–3 years
Tiny Tykes — Preschool, ages 3–4 years
Tiny Scholars — Pre-Kindergarten, ages 4–5 years
We follow the nationally accredited Tiny Hoppers curriculum — a play-based, inquiry-driven approach rooted in early childhood development research. Activities are designed to build cognitive, physical, social, and emotional skills appropriate for each age group, not just structured academics.
Transitions are handled smoothly within our building. When your child is ready to move to the next room, we'll give you plenty of notice, introduce them to the new educators gradually, and make sure the move feels comfortable — for your child and for you. No extra paperwork or re-enrollment is required. Monthly fees stay the same across all programs.
Yes, we offer both full-time and part-time enrollment. Contact us or ask during your tour to discuss scheduling options that work for your family's needs.
We maintain low ratios to ensure every child receives proper attention:

Tiny Squirts (Infant): 1 educator to 4 children
Tiny Tots (Toddler): 1 educator to 6 children
Tiny Tykes (Preschool): 1 educator to 8 children
Tiny Scholars (Pre-K): 1 educator to 10 children
Yes. Outdoor play is a non-negotiable part of our daily schedule, weather permitting. Calgary winters are real — we ask that all children arrive dressed appropriately for outdoor time. We follow Alberta guidelines for outdoor play in cold weather.
Enrollment

Enrollment & Getting Started

Start by booking a free tour — it's no-pressure, no commitment. After your visit, if you'd like to move forward, we'll send you an electronic enrollment package via PandaDoc. Once your documents are complete and your deposit is received, your child's spot is secured.
Spots are limited, particularly in our infant room. We recommend reaching out as early as possible to check current availability. The best way to secure a spot is to book a tour and complete enrollment promptly.
You'll receive a full enrollment package via PandaDoc after your tour. This typically includes a registration form, emergency contact information, immunization records, medical information, and consent forms. We'll walk you through everything — nothing is complicated.
Alberta licensed childcare centres are required to collect immunization records as part of enrollment. If your child's immunizations are not up to date or you have questions about exemptions, please discuss this with us at the time of enrollment.
Absolutely — that's exactly what the tour is for. You'll see every room, meet the educators, and get answers to every question on your mind. There's no obligation and no sales pressure. Book a free tour here.
Daily Life

Daily Life at Tiny Hoppers

We provide daily activity updates and photos so you stay connected to your child's day even when you're not there. For infants, this includes feeding and sleep logs. You'll also have direct access to your child's educator for informal check-ins at drop-off and pickup.
We'll give you a detailed list at enrollment, but generally children should bring a labelled change of clothes, weather-appropriate outdoor gear, a refillable water bottle, and any comfort items (for younger children). If your child is not on the nutrition plan, you'll need to send meals and snacks.
Meals and snacks are available through our optional nutrition plan at an additional $100/month. The plan covers a morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack — all prepared on-site to meet Alberta childcare nutrition guidelines. Allergy-aware menus are available. Families who don't opt in are responsible for sending their child's food daily.
All allergies and dietary restrictions are documented at enrollment and communicated clearly to every educator who works with your child. We take allergies seriously and have protocols in place for emergency situations. Please disclose all allergies — including mild sensitivities — at enrollment.
We follow Alberta's early childhood guidelines which limit screen exposure for young children. Learning and play at Tiny Hoppers is hands-on, physical, and social — screens are not a regular part of our programming.
Separation anxiety and adjustment periods are completely normal, especially in the first few weeks. Our educators are experienced in helping children settle in. We'll communicate openly with you about how your child is adjusting and suggest strategies to make drop-offs easier if needed.
Fees & Payments

Fees & Payments

Monthly tuition is $326.25 per month across all four programs — infant, toddler, preschool, and pre-K. The optional nutrition plan adds $100/month. There is no registration fee or annual fee. A refundable deposit of $326.25 is required to secure enrollment.
Monthly tuition is due on the 1st of each month. Payment method and schedule are confirmed at enrollment.
Tuition is paused for extended absences — you won't be charged for time your child is away. We'll work out the details with you when the absence comes up.
A deposit of $326.25 (equal to one month's tuition) is required to officially reserve your child's spot. It is applied toward your final month of care, or refunded the month following your child's last day in accordance with our policies.
Yes. We issue annual childcare receipts in February each year for the previous calendar year. These can be used when filing your tax return and for the Canada Child Benefit. If you need a receipt mid-year for any reason, reach out and we'll accommodate.
Subsidy

Alberta Subsidy

Yes. Tiny Hoppers Calgary is enrolled in the Alberta Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care agreement. Eligible families can access provincial subsidies that significantly reduce their monthly fees. For eligibility details visit alberta.ca/childcare-subsidy or call 1-844-644-9054.
Health & Safety

Health & Safety

Children who are unwell should not attend — this protects your child and the whole group. If your child develops symptoms during the day, we'll contact you and ask you to pick them up promptly. We follow Alberta Health Services guidelines on exclusion periods for common illnesses. Tuition is paused for extended absences.
Yes, with written authorization from a parent or guardian. A medication consent form must be completed for any medication — prescription or over-the-counter. Medications must be in their original labelled packaging. This includes EpiPens and inhalers for children with known conditions.
All educators are trained in first aid and CPR. We have documented emergency procedures for fire, medical incidents, and other situations. In any serious emergency, we contact 911 first and then notify parents immediately. Emergency contact information is collected at enrollment.
Only individuals listed on your authorized pickup list may collect your child. Photo ID may be requested for anyone we don't recognize. If someone not on your list needs to pick up your child, we require prior notice from you directly — we will not release a child to an unauthorized person under any circumstances.
